Hello there, and welcome to Starfleet Science Division.
My name is Maggie. I am a senior Geology major at Amherst College in Amherst, MA, USA. I am planning on going into Paleontology/Museum and Field Studies after I graduate. I have worked with the US Department of the Interior at a Wildlife Refuge, and I have a lot of experience with teaching, dealing with the public, and working with environmental advocacy agencies.
I hope that we can all share our knowledge and our excitement for new discoveries and progress in the sciences. I look forward to seeing new research and concepts, and lots of productive discussion. Together we can make the world a better place! (Yes I know that's cheesy, but I firmly believe it.)
Now, who might you be?

My name is Destiny and I plan on going to either Texas A&M or University of Georgia, taken that they have the best agricultural departments of study in the country. I would like to go into forestry science because I love taking care of plants and protecting them!
Nice to meet you ^_^

My name is Zane and I'm still a junior in high school (I think I might be the youngest science trainee here so far...) but I'm currently taking a two-year Higher-Level IB Biology course (this is the first year) and I haven't really figured out what I want to do career-wise, but I'm very interested in astrobiology and geology (I know...the complete opposite of biology). I can't do medical stuff, I'm a bit too squeamish about blood and innards and stuff. I chose the science division because of the above reasons and also because I'm small and weak and would make a terrible security personnel, my brother is the one who's into engineering and is good (I got none of those smarts), and I don't think I'd be able to do command or fly a spaceship. So. SCIENCE!

My name is Crystal and I'm a Sophomore at Colby-Sawyer College in New Hampshire, and I hail from Massachusetts. I'm a double major in Biology and Philosophy with a focus on the molecular. My posts to the forum might be a bit sporadic because I'm currently writing to you from Tanzania, where I am doing a Wildlife Management study abroad. My main interest is in genetics but not necessarily in a lab format, more of a 'get out there and do research' kind of thing. I tend to be a bit eclectic in my interests so if you see me posting in multiple forums don't be surprised!
